What's Up Rosy?

My Logo

So far, I’m up to a slightly rough start. I have all my character designs that I wanted to make for my first batch, but I don’t have the yarn I need yet. I found this website that I can wholesale buy from, and I did, but I was so concerned with the amount of each color I needed and the yarn type that I totally didn’t look at the yards on each skein. So what came in my mail was 42 skeins of tiny little balls of yarn. I feel a little foolish, but I did manage to send it back, and now I’m just playing the waiting game on the refund to try again.

The vision I have for it is to use mostly natural fibers and stuffing because I find acrylic scratchy (no hate if that happens to be your favorite kind of yarn, it’s just my own preference). I think that a cotton blend would be the way to go due to it being durable, but also pretty darn soft. I’ve also been planning and prepping eyeballs because I wanted something a little more expressive than the basic black safety eyes. I had this over-complicated plan of buying white fabric, colored buttons, then posco marker-ing different eye colors and expressions. I tried it and came to the conclusion that the fabric buttons bled through in ways I can’t see myself troubleshooting, and it didn’t have the look I was going for. That’s when I came up with the idea of different colors and size sewing buttons for a fun look. I’m pretty stoked about working with them! I got mine from this button website and I’m pleased with them!

In the meantime, while I’m waiting I’ll upload my character drawings and play around on this site. I’m also planning to upload my future stuffies and drawings on a pintrest, but I’m on the fence about it due to all the A.I pins (it’s just not as fun to scroll around on anymore). Creating is the key to comfort though so I’ll keep moving right along!
